The foundation for the company’s success story was laid in 1966 with the founding of a tile installation company, which fully picked up speed in 1975. In that year, company founder Werner Schlüter, himself a master tiler, developed the ideal solution for a clean edge finish on tiles and slabs in the form of Schlüter^®-Schiene, which is now known worldwide. Since then, not only the product but also the company has developed into a real brand: When it comes to finishing tile coverings, the name Schlüter is taken for granted today.

In addition, innovative solutions for balcony and terrace coverings made of ceramic or natural stone, systems for barrier-free showers, heated and unheated floor constructions, decoupling and drainage solutions as well as a universal tile laying substrate are also part of the extensive portfolio of the family-run company.
