BJB has been a family business for over 150 years. What began with components and accessories for paraffin lamps led via lamp bases and sockets to today’s product portfolio: These include lighting and connection technology for the lighting industry, including a wide range of LED connection and fastening systems such as clamps, as well as optics. The company is the global market leader for LED COB connectors. The portfolio also includes lighting solutions for the household appliance industry. Here too, BJB can call itself the world market leader in the field of oven lighting solutions, both for conventional solutions and LED solutions.

When it comes to LED interface solutions, BJB is one of the most important contacts. The system supplier from Arnsberg has around 2,500 products in its portfolio, e.g. terminals and connection elements, SMD PCB terminals, connection elements for COBs and linear LED modules, receptacles for attaching outdoor light sensors, fastening elements, optics, reflectors, other LED components, sockets, adapters and switches.

Numerous household appliances – from ovens to freezers – are illuminated by products from BJB GmbH und Co. KG, which have to withstand cold, moisture or heat, depending on the area of application. BJB is the world market leader in the segment for lighting ovens using conventional lighting solutions, but also increasingly LED solutions.

As a specialist in replaceable components, BJB offers a wide range of sustainable product solutions. To date, the company has also installed around 200 automation solutions at lighting manufacturers, who assemble, wire and test the lights at high speed. The BJB Metrology Service division offers services relating to testing, measuring and evaluating using industrial computer tomography and camera measurement technology – for better products, greater efficiency and more accurate analysis results. BJB can also offer customers small series production using laser sintering.

The export share of BJB is over 80%, which is why BJB is also considered a hidden global champion. The company currently employs 280 people at its headquarters in Arnsberg and a further 120 worldwide. The company’s strengths lie in its global network and close co-operation with its customers. Individual customer requirements can be quickly realised by the company’s own research and development department with subsequent in-house equipment design and toolmaking. The subsequent highly automated production process enables efficient production to the highest quality standards. Turnover in 2022 was around 83 million euros. Production takes place at the headquarters in Arnsberg as well as in Poland, Romania and China. The locations in the USA, China and Spain with their own logistics centres as well as the sales office in Italy and over 50 agencies strengthen the international orientation of the company, which has been family-owned for over 155 years and is currently managed by Philipp Henrici.
