NOBAMED Paul Danz AG

For over 100 years, NOBAMED Paul Danz AG has been producing a wide range of medical products and personal protective equipment for hospitals, specialist retailers and medical practices, in particular bandages and dressing materials for the operating room, nursing, dialysis and first aid. Founded in 1915 as Ruhrtaler Verbandstoff-Fabrik GmbH in Wetter (Ruhr), the company is still family-run today. With numerous product innovations, a comprehensive quality management system, state-of-the-art logistics and, in particular, the ability to adapt quickly to the constantly evolving requirements of the highly regulated medical products market, NOBAMED Paul Danz AG has established itself as a full-range supplier of consumables for hospitals.

Already patented in1982, the nasal dressing Nobarhinal^®, is still successful in the market and secures NOBAMED the worldwide market leadership for this product in the ENT area of hospitals. Tradition, experience and the contact to the user are the essential drivers for high quality product developments. Development and design as well as a large part of the clean room production, supported by the in-house mechanical engineering, take place at the headquarters in Wetter (Ruhr). Our own production and logistics sites in Solingen and Herne are complemented by decades of stable production partnerships worldwide. The company’s own testing laboratory ensures the highest quality. For example, the company was already successfully certified in 2021 in accordance with MDR (EU) 2017/745. This European medical device regulation contains detailed regulations of the procedure for the approval of medical devices and therefore places high regulatory demands on product innovations in the field of medical devices. Another building block for strengthening quality and technology leadership is the company’s extraordinarily high process organization. All of the company’s processes are precisely defined in its quality management system – including information procurement and product development. In addition, the company is now responding to the complex and extensive certification processes with digital transformation here as well. Following the introduction of agile software solutions in logistics and sales, product approvals are now to be at least partially automated with the areas of approval, project and quality management.
