SVT GmbH

SVT GmbH is one of the world’s leading suppliers of loading systems for liquids and gases. The systems are used for loading and unloading ships and tank and rail tank cars. All components, including the safety systems, are developed by SVT and produced at its headquarters in Schwelm. The equipment is characterized by the separation of the static construction from the product-carrying parts. Thus, the abrasion that is unavoidable, especially with aggressive substances, does not extend to the load-bearing parts, but only to the product-carrying elements, which can be replaced if necessary. SVT primarily supplies the chemical and petrochemical industries as well as the oil and gas sector. The areas of application extend over all continents, the export quota amounts to around 85%.

Since 2022, we have been very successfully serving the Asian market with our own branch office from Singapore.

The US market is served by our own sales and service office in Houston, Texas.

In 2023, SVT acquired another company in Hungary that perfectly complements the portfolio.

To date, SVT GmbH has installed more than 13,000 loading arms worldwide. In the transport of liquefied natural gas (LNG), which requires special, very large tankers and thus also corresponding loading arms, the Schwelm-based company already represents the number 1 on the market.

In order to secure the global energy supply, SVT is developing the technology for loading liquid hydrogen.

Since 2002, the company, which was founded in the late 1960s, has been wholly owned by the Gesco Group from Wuppertal.

SVT employs 200 people at its headquater in Schwelm, 8 people in Houston, 5 people in Singapore and 61 in Hungary.

In 2023 SVT achieved the highest sales in the company’s history with 54 million euros.
