OBO is internationally active and employs around 4,200 people in over 60 countries. The headquarters of the family-owned company, founded in 1911, is in Menden. 40 subsidiaries and agencies create a presence in markets on all continents. Production sites outside Germany are located in Hungary, Switzerland, the Netherlands, India, the USA, Great Britain and South Africa. In recent years, the company has more than doubled its sales to approximately 750 million euros.

The largest investment in the company’s history was put into operation in 2011: At the Metal Competence Center in Menden, more than 24 million meters of cable tray systems are manufactured each year on an area of 30,000 square meters. With the most modern hot-dip galvanizing plant in Europe, a production site was created that now operates in three shifts.
