The DNA of a company is determined by the people who shape the company – by their visions, ideas and values. When Michael Reckermann and Wolfgang Binz founded rbr Computertechnik in 1985, climate targets were not yet a big issue and no one could imagine that the garage in Iserlohn-Oestrich would one day become a company whose products are in demand worldwide. Today, in the second generation and always closely linked to its home in the Sauerland region, the family-owned company develops innovative measuring devices for exhaust gas analysis, pressure measurement, leak detection and burner diagnostics with more than 145 employees, almost 90 of them at the headquarters in Iserlohn.

True to the company slogan „measure what matters“, ecom combines high-quality, durable and accurate measurement technology for heating systems, burners and engines with intelligent, digital functions and reliable service. In more than 50 countries around the world, the innovation driver from the Sauerland region thus ensures that the efficiency of combustion processes is demonstrably increased, thereby reducing pollutant emissions and energy costs.

The new data management system „e.Cloud“ proves that ecom is not only solution-oriented, but also future-oriented: The cloud-based solution extends the company’s core competence – measurement – by the possibility of digital processing of the generated data. After all, it is digital solutions like these that create technical innovations today and will further strengthen ecom’s pioneering role in the field of measurement technology.
