The Viega Group employs more than 5000 people and is one of the leading manufacturers of installation technology. Its core areas of expertise include maintaining and developing drinking water hygiene, energy efficiency, comfort and safety in buildings, always with the purpose of installing lifelines for the buildings of tomorrow.
The products are manufactured at four locations in Germany. Special solutions for local markets are provided by McPherson in the USA, Wuxi in China and Sanand in India. Alongside piping systems, Viega also produces pre-wall and drainage technology. The product range consists of approximately 17,000 products and systems, which are used nearly everywhere: in building services, in utilities and in industrial plant construction and shipbuilding.
The company exports its products to over 75 countries and has a global presence through its own sales organisations. It has succeeded in establishing its products worldwide, in particular by maintaining the high quality standards of its products and its focus on service. In addition to the high level of quality, the company’s product designs are also recognised around the world. Numerous prizes such as the Red Dot Award are a testament to how the company successfully combines form and function in its products. In 2023, Viega received the NRW.Global Business Award for its position as a successful hidden champion from South Westphalia. Viega was also honoured as a finalist for the prestigious German Sustainability Award in the sanitary technology category. The company is committed to promoting young talent and has around 200 young people undergoing training in 19 different careers in Germany at any given time. Viega trainees regularly occupy the top rankings in WorldSkills Competitions.
