In 1857, Karl Albert Turk, a trained blacksmith, set up a hammer mill in his father-in-law’s mill.
The large wide hammer was used to produce shovels and ladles, which were soon known beyond the immediate local area – an assortment that is still one of the successful product areas today in numerous variations.
In the further company chronicle, the company, which had not only grown spatially, survived two world wars and a major fire (1953).
Today, it is managed in the fifth generation by Mr. Hans Peter Turk and, with about 30 employees, produces around 1,000 articles, most of which belong to the consumer goods sector.
In addition to many products that are manufactured efficiently and competitively for the end consumer in the modern stamping plant, turk is one of the world market leaders in the field of forging technology with its high-quality, highly heat-resistant foundry tools and its unique, free-form hot-forged frying pans. The export share for the entire product range is approx. 30 %.
The success of the company is based on the know-how of its employees, many of whom have been with the company for many years, and thus on the enormous flexibility of the company, which also allows for numerous special requests.
Special designs are possible at any time when larger quantities are purchased.
