Schmale Maschinenbau GmbH

schmale Maschinenbau GmbH was founded in Altena in 1965 and employs around 70 people. Our systems produce cold-formed articles at high cycle rates for leading companies in the automotive, construction and furniture industries as well as in the railroad sector and other branches of industry.

The X2000NC machine concept is a modular platform on which the individually required system technology for the article(s) to be produced is customized in close cooperation with our customers.

For this purpose, we combine NC benders, servo presses and bending slides with a servo-electric transfer system. Each of the production technologies can be combined with others in our modular machine concepts. The result is fast, customer-specific solutions for the automation of production processes.

In our systems, we install forming units developed in-house with forces of up to 7000 kN and can therefore replace hot forming processes with energy-efficient cold forming.

We attach particular importance to the control optimization of our servo-electric drives. It is an essential component of the innovative schmale system technology and enables high cycle outputs with low energy consumption through the consistent use of energy-efficient technologies.

We consolidate our technological lead by continuously developing and improving our system technology. This enables us to constantly offer new and improved solutions for automation processes on the market. For this reason, research and development has a high priority in our company.
