The manufacturer Olsberg GmbH, named after its headquarters, is one of the leading suppliers of design-oriented stoves and pellet stoves. They are sold under the brand names „Olsberg“ and „Königshütte“ via specialist retailers. Olsberg is the world market leader with its ambient air-independent stoves developed around 20 years ago. The air required for the combustion process is drawn in through a separate connection outside the building envelope. The German Institute for Building Technology has approved operation in combination with a domestic ventilation system. The core element is a specially developed self-closing door system that guarantees the tightness of the combustion chamber. Room air-independent stoves are ideal for use in low-energy and passive houses. However, they are also popular in houses built to conventional standards.

With over 440 years of history, Olsberg is one of the oldest family-run companies in Germany. In addition to the stoves mentioned above, which are fired with renewable raw materials (logs and pellets), the company’s core activities include the manufacture of industrial products made of cast iron and sheet metal. The Casting Technology division offers series and hand-molded castings made of grey and ductile iron from 1 to 8,000 kg as well as a comprehensive range of services from design consulting to logistics. Its customers are numerous in the European plant and mechanical engineering sector. The foundry’s products can be found in electrical drive solutions, water pumps and compressors, as well as in gearboxes for wind turbines and heat pumps. With its Sheet Metal Technology division, Olsberg is establishing itself as a provider of industrial system solutions made of sheet steel, aluminum and stainless steel. The spectrum ranges from simple components and assemblies to complete units. The sheet metal products are manufactured for branded companies in various sectors, including renewable energies and railroad technology.
