KONTRA Anlagentechnik GmbH from Rüthen stands for the individual development of practical transport systems, handling systems and sawing systems for panel-shaped materials. The company’s success is based on a diagonal saw for continuous presses developed by Martin Wagner. It was designed in 2004 as the world’s first quadruple diagonal saw for panel-shaped materials and has been continuously developed ever since. The concept of the diagonal saw as an undercut saw is patented. From its starting point in the wood materials industry, the KONTRA saw opened the way to more and more products in the panel industry. Kontra sawing systems are now also used for the fully automated cutting of cement and stone boards as well as for insulating materials. Today, KONTRA covers the entire product range behind continuous presses. It ranges from press outfeed to packaged stacks. This includes handling and transportation to the warehouse and downstream processing and production lines as well as grinding lines, coating systems, vacuum transport systems or sorting and stacking stations. All finishing components are designed, engineered and manufactured by KONTRA. With the use of intelligent control systems and integration into higher-level control and management systems, fully automated production processes can be realized. KONTRA systems have been exported almost without exception, especially in recent times, and are now located in Eastern Europe as well as in North and South America and on the Asian continent.
