H&T Presspart’s roots go back to 1922. Throughout its history of over one hundred years, the company has demonstrated a forward-thinking, continuous transformation. Over the past 25 years, H&T Presspart has positioned itself as a leading manufacturer in the rapidly growing global market for innovative respiratory drug delivery applications. Following the acquisition of Presspart Manufacturing, founded in Blackburn (UK) in 1970, in 2002, the current name and new products were added. In 2008, the portfolio was expanded with the acquisition of Nemo, a Spanish manufacturer of plastic control elements for metered dose inhalers. Another forward-looking step was taken in 2021 with the acquisition of novelex AG, a developer and manufacturer of drug delivery devices based in Switzerland.
Together with its sister companies in Blackburn, UK, Tarragona, Spain and Nidau, Switzerland, the company employs over 700 people, over 30% of whom are based in Marsberg, South Westphalia. As an independent division of the family-owned Heitkamp & Thumann Group, Düsseldorf, the H&T Presspart companies are the supporting pillars of a globally operating hidden champion of the German economy with over 2,000 employees. In addition to the four H&T Presspart production sites in Europe, there are sales offices in the USA, India, Uruguay and China.
The four European production sites produce more than 75% of the world’s metered dose inhaler components. Most of the company’s turnover of more than 160 million euros is generated on the international markets. With over 50 years of experience in meeting the requirements of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, H&T Presspart has developed an outstanding reputation for precision and reliability. This is crucial when patients‘ quality of life can depend on the smallest detail of both the drug and the dispensing system.
