The family-run machine builder Gräbener Maschinentechnik GmbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of Theodor Gräbener GmbH & Co. KG, develops and implements customized systems and is a multiple world market leader in various niches: In pipe and wind tower production, Graebener® has already been a market leader for many years with its pipe forming presses and bending machines as well as seam milling machines for the narrow-gap welding process. In shipbuilding, Graebener® has also established itself among the world leaders with state-of-the-art system technology for deck production. For example, all ship decks at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg are assembled on Graebener® equipment. In the field of hydroforming, Graebener® is not only one of the pioneers, but is even the world record holder to date. With a clamping force of 13,000 tons, the machine manufacturer from Siegerland has built the world’s strongest hydroforming press. Graebener® also has a world-class prototyping center – with four hydraulic presses with clamping forces of up to 10,000 tons. Since 2003, the company has also been researching and developing intensively in the field of hydrogen technologies. With its patented equipment for the production of metallic bipolar plates for fuel cells and electrolysers, Graebener® is a technology leader and also implements complete series production lines. The company’s origins date back to 1921, when Gräbener & Comp. GmbH was founded – at that time still a factory for the production of heavy iron and sheet metal structures.
