Bender + Wirth has been supplying the global lighting industry with the highest quality components since 1899. Today’s product portfolio includes LED holders and lamp sockets. Together with leading LED and optics manufacturers, the company develops and produces new socket systems for modern LED technology. Although Bender + Wirth only entered this market in 2017, it achieved a special coup with the introduction of the Mika 430 holder series. Bender & Wirth is the only supplier worldwide to use Mikanit, a mineral composite material, for the housings of the holders. The material offers outstanding mechanical, thermal and electrical properties and allows the components to be manufactured with virtually no tools. In combination with the modular basic concept of the 430 series, higher-quality products can be created. The development time for new products and customer-specific adaptations up to series production can be reduced to one working day. With the COB holder series 630, in the hybrid and semi-hybrid versions, Bender + Wirth once again presented a globally unique concept for LED mounting. This holder series combines the material advantages of injection molded components (shape / price) with the thermal and electrical advantages of Mikanit. The approx. 250 different versions of the 630 series are assembled on self-developed, standardized automatic production machines. Bender + Wirth offers by far the most comprehensive overall range of all suppliers. Due to the strong modularity of this system, fully automatic production is possible even for customer-specific solutions in small quantities. The export share is over 85%, more than half of the exports are to countries outside Europe.
