It all began in 1984 with the founding of ASO GmbH in Salzkotten as a provider of innovative drive and control technology products and services. The regular exchange of experience with customers, which was cultivated early on, led the company to dedicate itself to the increasing need for safety in industry and society in the interests of its customers. This has resulted in new product ideas for a wide range of applications in which the safety of people working in production processes always takes centre stage.

Making automation safe in all areas – that is the goal of the world market leader for tactile sensors for personnel safety. In Lippstadt, ASO Safety Solutions develops, produces and sells safety contact elements such as contact strips, mats and buffers as well as light grids as optical safety sensors, control units and individual, customised sensor solutions for a wide variety of markets worldwide. Subsidiaries in France, the USA and China, as well as a sales company in England, have been set up specifically for this purpose.

ASO products ensure safety in production and in the workplace in a variety of ways, protecting every valuable asset – people and materials alike. ASO products can be found on doors, gates, automatic machine systems, in the bus and railway sector as well as in leisure and amusement parks.
