After its foundation in 1975 in Wuppertal, the company ALANOD GmbH & Co. KG has developed into the world market leader in the refinement of aluminum strips into highly reflective qualities.

Today, ALANOD sees itself as a specialist in surface and aluminum finishing, able to combine a wide variety of process technologies and apply them in a targeted manner. Anodizing, high vacuum coating (PVD) and individually developed paint system technology concentrated at one location make ALANOD the ideal partner when high performance surfaces are required.

ALANOD’s high-quality products are manufactured and distributed internationally for the lighting industry, the daylighting systems sector, but also for applications in the decorative sector, facades, the automotive and computer industries, as well as for solar applications.

As a medium-sized company, ALANOD employs 200 people at its headquarters in Ennepetal alone. Worldwide 235 employees are active, which in 2022 provided for the refinement and sales of approximately 6500 tons of strip material and a consolidated turnover of 85 million €.

A sense of responsibility towards the environment and the innovative design of new products is ALANOD’s continuous goal. In close cooperation with its mostly long-standing industrial partners and international research institutes, ALANOD constantly strives to optimize and expand its leading position. It is therefore only logical that the company has an integrated and certified quality, environmental and energy management system in accordance with ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 and that the Ennepetal site is CO2 climate-neutral.
