SKS GERMANY can look back on a long history as the manufacturing brand of SKS metaplast Scheffer-Klute GmbH. The success story began with the founding of the company by Karl Scheffer-Klute in 1921. 1932 saw the start of air pump production, marking the company’s entry into the bicycle business. The decisive breakthrough came in the 1950s with the start of production of plastic air pumps. In 1983, the company set the course for further growth with the production of mudguards. At the beginning of the 1990s, SKS GERMANY was the market leader in original bicycle equipment, supplying up to 90 countries worldwide. To this day, SKS GERMANY has been able to expand its market position in the bicycle protection sector and can currently call itself the EU market leader for plastic mudguards.
High-quality mini and frame pumps, precise shock pumps and the cult product, the SKS-RENNKOMPRESSOR, characterize the air pump range today. New developments in the bike protection sector are also leading the way in the bike accessories sector. Compact bicycle tools, chain guards, bottles, bottle holders and bicycle bags as well as digital products and a luggage rack system have also been integrated into the SKS range to provide even more comfort and safety on the bike with further first-class accessories.
Around 400 employees produce the high-quality accessories on almost 40,000 square meters of pure production space
